Dale R. Wheeler, M.D

Clinical Assistant Professor of Orthopedic Surgery. Dr. Wheeler holds a BA: from Northwestern University, Evanston,
IL (1976) and an MD: from SUNY Upstate Medical Center, Syracuse, NY (1980). His surgical residency was completed at Millard Fillmore Hospital (1980-81); His orthopedic
residency at University at Buffalo affiliated hospitals (1982-85) and he was a Clinical Fellow, Hand and Microvascular Surgery at University at Buffalo affiliated hospitals (1985-86)..
Dr. Wheeler serves on the staffs of Kaleida Health, Erie County Medical Center, and Kenmore Mercy Hospital, and is a Consultant for Roswell Park Cancer Institute. He
has presented numerous lectures about the hand and upper extremity throughout Western New York Dr. Wheeler serves as President of Hand & Upper Extremity
Surgery, P.C. and group representative for hospital related activities. He is senior attending physician helping to oversee education and clinical activities.
 Owen J. Moy, M.D
. Clinical Professor of Orthopedic Surgery. Dr. Moy holds a BS from Fordham Univ., (1976) and an MD from Upstate Medical Center, Syracuse, NY, (1981) His surgery residency was completed at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Montefiore Medical Center, New York, NY (1981-82); His orthopedic residency was at University at Buffalo affiliated hospitals, Buffalo, New York (1982-86) and he was a Special fellow in
Hand and Microvascular surgery at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN (1986-87)Dr. Moy serves as
Clinical Professor, Dept. of Orthopedics, Univ. at Buffalo; and on the staff of Kaleida Health, Erie County Medical Center and Sisters Hospital. He is
the Fellowship and Research Director for the Hand Center of WNY. Dr. Moy has
published over two dozen scientific papers and book chapters. He has served as an editor for the "Yearbook of Hand Surgery" and "Hand Clinics" and has presented
numerous papers both nationally and internationally. Dr. Moy has also served nationally for the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery, the American Society
for Surgery of the Hand and the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery. In 2006, he was selected as one of Western New York's Top 100 Doctors: Buffalo Spree- January/February 2006.
James J. Kelly, D.O. Clinical Assistant Professor of Orthopedic SurgeryDr. Kelly holds a
BS from Villanova University, Villanova, PA (1981) and an MS from University of Scranton, Scranton, PA (1983). His internship was done at Millcreek Community Hospital, Erie, PA (1987-88) and his orthopedic surgery
residency at Millcreek Community Hospital, Erie, PA (1988-92). He was a Clinical Fellow Hand and Microsurgery at University at Buffalo affiliated hospitals (1992-93) and received his DO from Philadelphia College of
Osteopathic Medicine, Philadelphia, PA (1987)Dr. Kelly is Assistant Clinical Professor, University at Buffalo, Department of
Orthopedics and on the Active Staff: Kaleida Health, Erie County Medical Center, Kenmore Mercy Hospital. He serves as a Consultant: for Roswell Park Cancer
Institute. Dr. Kelly is a Board Examiner: AOBOS; Chairman of the

Robert K. Brown, M.D.
Clinical Assistant Professor of Orthopedic Surgery Dr. Brown holds an AB from Harvard College, Cambridge, MA (1983) and an
MD from Yale University School of Medicine, New Haven, CT (1988).
His general surgery residency was done at : Yale-New Haven Hospital (1988-89) his orthopedic
residency at Yale-New Haven Hospital (1989-93) and he was a Clinical Fellow Hand and Microsurgery at University at Buffalo affiliated hospitals (1994). Dr. Brown serves as Assistant Clinical Professor, University at Buffalo, Department of Orthopedics and on the
Active Staff Kaleida Health, Erie County Medical Center. He functions as a clinical educator for the residents and fellows and has a particular

Thomas B. Cowan, M.D.
Clinical Assistant Professor of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and NeurosurgeryDr. Cowan holds a BS in Pharmacy (1977), an MS in Epidemiology (1981) and an MD (1985) from the State
University of New York, Buffalo, NY. His internal medicine and physical medicine and rehabilitation residencies were done at the State University of New York at Buffalo.
Dr. Cowan currently serves as Clinical Assistant Professor in the School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at the State University of New York at Buffalo and is on the staff of Kaleida Health and the Erie County Medical CVenter.

Timothy V. McGrath, M.D.
Clinical Assistant Professor of Orthopedic SurgeryDr. McGrath is a graduate of Niagara University in Niagara Falls, NY and the State University of New York at Buffalo, School of Medicine & Biomedical Sciences.
His professional training includes a general surgery internship and orthopaedic surgery residency at the State University of New York at Buffalo where he was the
recipient of the Theodore Papademetriou Award for Outstanding Commitment to Orthopaedic Education. He is board eligible in orthopaedic surgery and fully trained in hand and upper
extremity surgery having completed a one year fellowship at the University of Rochester in Rochester, NY, which included extensive experience in arthroscopic shoulder techniques and shoulder replacement.
Dr. McGrath specializes in all aspects of hand and upper extremity surgery, including shoulder and elbow arthoscopy, instability, trauma and joint reconstruction.
