Clinical Organization The fellows rotate, spending several months working primarily with one attending; becoming for that time assistant/associate both in the office and the operating room. Fellows also
supervise resident's activities and training. The individual practices vary within the division. Some faculty do more or less shoulder, congenital, etc. Rotations are balanced to provide experience in all areas. The
fellowship is designed to provide extensive experience in case management (including consultant evaluations, performing in surgery, pre- and post-operative care; and coordination of rehabilitation of upper limb
problems. Primary emergency call is shared with the residents on service. The fellows are on-call rotating 3rd nights/weekends. Attending coverage for emergency and elective cases is also always scheduled.
Research Clinical fellows are expected to complete an original clinical and/or laboratory project for presentation and publication. Research fellows may spend up to 20% of their time in
clinical activities as they may assist and co-author clinical projects. Salary The annual salary for clinical fellows is set at a PGY-6 level funding (for updated salary, orientation

website.). In addition, fellows receive personal/family health coverage and malpractice insurance benefits and four weeks paid vacation. The
Hand Center reimburses for the cost of loupes or similar educational equipment. Conference/Travel Fellows are funded for the annual meeting of the American society for Surgery of the Hand (or a similar
meeting/course) and to other meetings at which they present papers research during the fellowship year. Interviews Interviews are by invitation. Once your application data are complete, we schedule one
