The University at Buffalo is New York State's premier public center for graduate and professional education. Founded in 1846, the School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences is the university's oldest division, and is one of the major biomedical research complexes in the SUNY (State University of New York) system.

American Society for Surgery of the Hand. The mission of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand (ASSH) is to advance the science and practice of hand surgery through education, research and advocacy on behalf of patients and practitioners. Founded in 1946, the American Society for Surgery of the Hand is the oldest medical specialty society in the United States devoted entirely to continuing medical education related to hand surgery. The American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons   American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons logo Founded in 1933, the Academy is the preeminent provider of musculoskeletal education to orthopaedic surgeons and others in the world.
