The Hand Center of Western New York offers an ACGME-accredited one-year clinical fellowship in hand and musculoskeletal microsurgical reconstruction.

It is structured to provide a balance of clinical training, research and teaching experience in surgery of the hand and upper extremity including shoulder. Clinical exposure includes trauma, post-traumatic upper extremity reconstruction, microsurgery, arthritis, congenital musculoskeletal disorders and tumor surgery.

The faculty and fellows teach medical/dental gross anatomy in September, staffing the dissections and prosections.

We offer two positions through the NRMP "match" beginning each August 1st. Applications are accepted from individuals who will have completed their residency training in general, orthopedic or plastic surgery prior to beginning the fellowship.
